Progressive texture allocation, upload, mipmapping and anisotropic sampling with safe memory caps.

About this test

Allocates, uploads and samples progressively larger textures with mipmaps and anisotropic filtering, up to a safe memory cap. It shows how the GPU and driver behave as video memory fills.

Browsers do not report exact VRAM, and the test stops at a conservative budget, so it is a capacity and bandwidth indicator, not a memory diagnostic. It cannot find faulty memory.

How to read the results

A smooth run means the card kept up as texture memory grew. A sudden drop in frame rate part-way through suggests the working set no longer fits in fast video memory. The Memory Score reflects sampling throughput; compare it between runs on the same machine. See the general guide to verdict axes below the runner for pacing and spikes.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tell me how much VRAM I have?

No. Browsers hide the exact amount. The test only shows where performance changes as memory is used.

Why did the tab reload or crash?

Running out of memory can make the browser drop the graphics context. Lower the intensity and try again.

Is it a RAM test?

No. It tests video memory throughput through the browser. For error checking use a dedicated memory tester.

Why does integrated graphics score lower?

Integrated GPUs share system memory, which is slower than dedicated video memory.
