GPU Limit Finder Stress
Raises the load every few seconds until your GPU drops below a sustainable frame rate, then holds the last good step and reports a Limit Score that is not capped by your display refresh rate.

Before you start
GPU stress tests can significantly increase GPU load, temperature, power draw and fan speed.
Stop the test if your system becomes unstable, overheats, crashes or behaves unexpectedly. Do not run extreme tests on hardware with known cooling problems. This website cannot guarantee hardware safety.
This is a deliberately punishing test. It can push your GPU to its thermal and power limits for minutes.
- Laptops: plug in the charger and make sure the vents are clear.
- Make sure your GPU is cooled properly. Do not run this with known fan or cooling problems.
- Save your work and close other important tabs. A weak or overheated GPU can make the screen flicker or the graphics driver reset, which may close apps.
- You can stop at any time with the Stop button or the Escape key. The test also stops itself if frames take more than two seconds.
Long run: this test keeps the GPU busy for five minutes or more, so your computer will get warm. Laptops should be plugged in. You can stop at any time with the Stop button.

About this test
Raises the workload step by step (x1, x2, x3 and so on) for a few seconds each until the GPU can no longer hold a sustainable frame rate, then holds the last good step and measures stability there. The Limit Score is not capped by your display refresh rate.
It does not read temperatures or clocks and cannot tell you which part of the GPU limits performance.
How to read the results
The headline is the highest step the GPU held and the Limit Score built from it. A higher number means more headroom. The stability check at the last good step shows whether that level is truly sustainable. Compare it between runs on the same machine to see the effect of drivers, cooling or overclocks.
Frequently asked questions
Why not just use the average FPS?
On light loads the average sits at your refresh rate and hides differences between GPUs. Raising the load until frames drop shows real headroom.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes, depending on how fast the GPU is.
What is a sustainable frame rate?
The test treats the GPU as holding a step when it stays close to a smooth frame rate for the whole step.
Can I compare my Limit Score with others?
Only with runs from this site. It is not comparable with other benchmarks.
