VRAM Test

This VRAM test fills video memory with textures and watches for slowdowns. It works as a quick GPU memory test in your browser.

About this tool

What the probe does

The test allocates progressively larger textures and measures performance as memory fills. A sharp drop suggests the GPU ran out of fast memory and began swapping with system memory.

What it cannot do

Browsers cap memory use, so this is a capacity indicator, not a full memory diagnostic. For deep error checking use a dedicated memory tester on your desktop.

How to read the results

A smooth run means the card kept up as memory filled. A sharp slowdown part-way through suggests the working set no longer fits in fast video memory. The browser cannot report exact VRAM, so treat the result as a capacity hint.

If the test crashes

A crash or artefacts usually mean the GPU ran out of memory or the memory is unstable. Lower the settings and see the GPU health check.

Frequently asked questions

How much VRAM do I have?

The browser does not expose exact VRAM, so the probe estimates usable capacity from how the GPU behaves.

Can this find faulty memory?

It can reveal artefacts and instability, but it cannot confirm hardware faults.

Does the test show how much VRAM I have?

No. Browsers do not expose exact video memory. The probe only shows the point where performance changes.

Why did my browser tab crash?

Running out of memory can make the browser drop the graphics context. Lower the settings and try again; a crash on a card with plenty of memory can point to a driver problem.
